Exhibition — Prince Philip: A Celebration

Who: Prince Philip was the husband of the Queen until his death earlier this year. From his early life and naval career, to his role as the Queen's consort, Prince Philip's life was unique. He helped to design HMY Britannia and organise the Queen's Coronation, and founded his own youth programme, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

What: The exhibition in Windsor Castle includes: Philip's Chair of Estate (throne); a large headdress from Canada; a grasshopper wine cooler; and a large fragment of burnt wood from the Windsor Castle fire.

When: Until the 20th of September, 10:00–17:00 (M, Th, F, S,S) — booking in advance is recommended.

Where: Windsor Castle (The Lantern Lobby & St George's Hall).

Why: After the recent death and funeral of Prince Philip, the exhibition shows not only the longevity of Prince Philip's role as a consort to Her Majesty The Queen, but also Prince Philip's personal achievements. If the exhibition doesn't attract you, then it worth going simply for the magnificent St George's Hall!
